Not just number crunches, you will be involved in all facets of the operations team from assisting customers with their home loan product queries and application assessment, through to testing the platform and policies as part of a team that is continuously improving. 

 

This role offers a unique opportunity for passionate credit experts who are looking for a new challenge.  Whilst the core requirement of your role is that you will be responsible for assessing residential mortgage applications and making sound credit decisions in accordance with our policy guidelines, this is done in a whole new way and with this role comes the opportunity to help shape how the operations team functions both today and in the future.

To be considered for this position, you will:

  • Hold a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (or be willing to obtain one);
  • Have a minimum 2+ years of experience in residential mortgage lending;

Looking for an opportunity to stretch your wings? Would you like to be part of the evolution of the financial services industry?

 

We’re after a SEM and PPC guru who knows their way around Google Adwords, Google Tag Manager, Google Display Network and Google Analytics, blindfolded.   

 

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience driving outstanding outcomes through AdWords, GTM, Display and video (including programmatic), Paid Social and other digital lead generation channels. You use data-driven marketing to make key decisions for optimising lead generation and reducing CPA. You’ll be the in-house paid digital marketing expert, making recommendations about channel selections and working with our CRO and UX strategy team, to optimise digital performance.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in managing Paid Media campaigns
  • Manage budget and bids for multiple platforms including Google AdWords, Facebook, YouTube, etc. (Google Analytics certified a plus)
  • Build effective digital campaigns as part of a holistic PPC strategy to deliver against team and business OKRs.  
  • Manage Remarketing/Display campaigns in Google Display Network and third-party platforms.
  • Strong background in planning and executing Programmatic media
  • Develop paid retail social strategies and roll out across social platforms (e.g. Facebook Business Advertising, LinkedIn)
  • Conduct, measure, and implement the results of A/B tests to optimise ad copy, design and targeting.
  • Manage campaign landing page tracking (install conversion code and tracking pixels).
  • Perform SEM keyword research to optimise Search results
  • Perform traffic analysis in Google Analytics related to paid digital traffic and other sources/mediums.
  • Manage alternate digital leads channels such as affiliate platforms (eg. Canstar, Finder) and work with Operations to inform best retail approach  
  • Evaluate budget levels and provide recommendations.
  • Have a finger on the pulse for new ideas and initiatives to test
  • Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ‘Hands-on’ approach to operations: strategic, but desire to get hands dirty to implement

The role

 

The role focuses on development of high value areas of the business including the web, integration and credit decisioning platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for software analysis, design, development, documentation, defect resolution, and implementation of the components for the associated software applications, adhering to development standards and best practices in an agile world.

 

More specifically, the responsibilities will include:

  • Working with subject matter experts in the development team to build and refine components in our solution.
  • Developing our AWS serverless application suite of technologies under a repeatable CI/CD pattern.
  • Creating robust and flexible software solutions with the development team.
  • Assist with configuring, integrating, and supporting various COTS and SaaS Apps.
  • Collect, generate or help refine high level requirements and create implementation strategy, acceptance criteria and test cases.
  • Deploying the solution to quality assurance environments and resolving defects discovered during testing.
  • Assisting in ensuring project progress is tracked and defects resolved within a timely manner.
  • Creating and maintain supporting documentation.

Are you what we are looking for?

  • Be able to stand up and out in a crowd to demonstrate your efforts or ideas, smiling as you do so.
  • 5+ years of experience working in software development, with a focus on solution design and frameworks.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Computer Science or IT related field.
  • The candidate should have good skills in the software development lifecycle, messaging patterns, endpoint security, interfaces with internal and external applications, and database knowledge.
  • Understanding of SOA with knowledge of integration technologies like XML, SOAP, XSLT, JSON, RESTful, GraphQL web-services.
  • Experience working within an AWS environment including an understanding of serverless services.
  • Strong development experience with .NET core.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design and experience in front end single-page application (SPA) JavaScript frameworks like Reactjs and Angular would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong experience with managing project and agile tracking and knowledgebase tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Effective at user story writing and converting business requirements into technical detail.
  • Grooming and estimation of the product backlog requirements, and as required, working with the Business Analysts to get them into a state of readiness for sprint planning.
  • Exposure to Financial services systems as this will be highly regarded.
  • Comfortable thinking on your feet and working through ambiguity.
  • Experience using Git/Bitbucket for source control.
